I thought it r eally was kind of amazing to see fmr Pres Jimmy Carter and fmr First Lady Rosalyn Carter, but then I looked online and discovered that they actually are slightly younger than GHWB and BB were. I guess I was too young to remember that he was only 52 when elected to the presidency.

Surveys consistently find that around 20% of adult Americans believe that the S un revolves around the Earth. That has worrying implications for science education, but allows me to set a baseline of 20% being really fucking stupid, which is useful for explaining things . Unfortunately in Trump’s case, that still leaves around 26% who thought it was a good idea to vote for him, which is troubling, and that’s before you even get into the fact that I suspect that 20% cohort is less likely to vote, and I presume some utter morons voted for Hillary as well.

really the taxes dont matter a whole lot, but i can guarantee you, that there are so many things that are expensed, and written off, it would make you sick to see all the loopholes that they are abusing, and all the things that are being reported as losses......its pretty near all technically legal......... imagine spending your money/ runningbusiness with the OBJECTive being to be out as little in taxes at years end, and finding every cut that fits that goal. thats how they do it. its what they do for a living.......

I’m fairly sure David Fahrenthold from WaPo has all the numbers. He won that Pulitzer investigating the “finances” of the Trump “Foundation”.
I’m sure that whichever of your choices the rates turn out to be it’ll be enough to move all that discovery forward, since it certainly already seems to have been enough to lead Orange and Jared to defend MBS so vociferously against charges of that murder the CIA is at “high confidence” that he orchestrated.
In the spot I saw last night, they also focused on the timing - that they started paying for those huge blocks of rooms in December 2016. Like one of the contributors said, it was like all the autocrats in the world had sent around a memo. And when you’re trying to prove stuff like enrichment and corrupt intent, that’s the kind of stuff that seems like it’d be extremely relevant.

There’s a counter narrative to all of this that speaks of Democrats breaking laws and FISA courts and all of that, in a conspiracy to keep Donald Trump from being elected. My question is why, with Republicans in control of the entire government for two years, has none of that come out in a compelling way? Is the state so deep as that and the only answer is totalitarianism?
I don’t get it. But I am looking forward to hearing what the pundits have to say about Mr. Trump’s taxes. I will find it all very entertaining, I expect.

I think Effie ’s done kind of a convoluted job of making his point.
I’ve been spending a lot of effort trying to figure out where people who support Trump might be coming from. For me, it’s not about the politics at all, but the attacks on civility. That’s always been a thing, though, that we who prefer civil discourse are sissies , anti-feminist microaggressive term intentionally selected. All of Trump’s talk is mere rhetoric and not harmful. Tact is a lie. Political correctness is bad. Multiculturalism is a fail. To me, all of that is in the same basket. And by and large, it comes from White people, in my observation. And they can take up the Constitution and talk Originalism, when the consequence has become, in my opinion, whether intended or not, that the interests of White, land-owning men and institutions are vigorously protected. Yes, I am saying that maybe the Constitution is a n inherently racist document.
I digress slightly, I suppose. T he Constitution of the United States, and its Amendments, guarantee many Rights, but do not require, nor ask for, manners.
I do not care about President Trump’s politics. I find him to be a faithless, charmless adulterer who has made household names of pornography stars and
who surrounds himself with liars and thieves and I suspect that he is enriching himself and his family through his office. Then again, in fairness, what politician
doesn’t
enrich themselves because of their office?
